Hello all.

Sorry for the length, it's a two parter.

I am currently on a Non Imm O 90 day marriage extension which expires on September 14th. The extension was done at Khon Kaen Immigration through an agent. I reside in BKK.

I currently fulfill all the Imm requirements for a marriage extension: 400k for 2 months, etc.

I would like to return to a worry free status, and not use an agent for my next extension. Would it be possible to get the 60 day extension for visiting a spouse, and then do the 1 year marriage extension at Chiangwattana?

If it is possible, then the second part. The agent did not do a TM30 for me in KK. So I have been registered in BKK all this time, even when I was 'applying for and receiving' the extension.

Would this raise eyebrows at Chiangwattana?

I don't know the nature of the TM30 system and what information it would display, i.e. previous registrations and dates. My CW application would be legitimate, would they seek to verify the legitimacy of another districts procedures and extensions?

Would the safer bet be, to extend with the agent but have them register the TM30 in KK? Then administratively migrate back to BKK.

Thank you for any assistance.

Which office have you been doing your 90 day reports to?

You should formally change your address to Bangkok. Normally just a TM30 report is not enough.

I see not reason for you to have a problem applying in Bangkok. The will not question the veracity of your previous extension.

When you apply you will need proof you are living in Bangkok. That can be a rental agreement with copies of the owners house book registry and ID card signed by them attached.

Thanks for your quick reply ubonjoe.

I usually report to Chiangwattana. I have not done a 90 day report since the amnesty started. I went to CW, during the amnesty, on my previous tourist visa ME and was told I did not need to do a 90 day report.

I will seek clarification with the agent, but I believe they didn't formally change my address. So I should still be registered in BKK.

I will ask them about this, and have them do a 90 day report for me at Chiangwattana, to see if the coast is clear.

You apply at the office that covers the area in which you reside.

That is clearly not Khon Kaen.

You chose to do an illegal transaction. You should go along to CW and ask them what you should do as nobody here has the answer.
