Absolute disgrace. My wife just tell me that were 34 Thai's who were allocated seats on 26 July, 12 on the 9th August flight and 34 on the 16th August who were allocated seats on the plane but failed to pay Thai airways. The seats were wasted and empty.

Strange, normally you would not be allocated a seat until you've paid for it.

It is a complete failure of the system.

I wonder why they did not pay for the flights? Could it be that they prefer the comfort of ASQ but there's little to no availability so they changed their minds?

I hope they are forced to pay in the future, and it's treated as an unpaid debt.

Yep, it´s terrible! Of course it should be free. It´s Thailand that put them in the place they are, no need to pay for getting back home.

Are you serious? Maybe you would like it to be no repatriation flights instead?

People that are travelling to other countries must learn to be able to take care about themselves. It´s not their countries job to pay for their ticket home.

I'm confused, some people didn't take the plane fights and didn't pay ??

Why would they be paying for a flight they didn't take ?

Were the flights otherwise fully booked and people couldn't get on ?

Your right, the payment process is very clunky when paying repat flights with Thai,if it’s the same as Thai repat flights to Aust. I can see how folk were booked but unable to make final payment.

I am hearing that these seats are not being readvertised. Is this true ?

The flights are heavily overbooked.
