Suspect Thieves Caught Drug Positive

The Pattaya Police were informed by two young security guards aged 17 and 18 that work on Pratumnak Hill on 24th April that they spotted 3 men hanging around acting suspiciously.

They left but at 1 am the men returned in a Honda Jazz car and parked beside the road.

The police arrived shortly and found that many public lights were off. They must have stolen electric cables. The police inspected around and found that cables had been cut along the road.

The car was still there with the men inside so the police asked to make a search. Nothing was found on the men or in the car but the security guards insisted that it was these three so the police asked all of them to go to the police station.

The owner of the car, Somsak, aged 23 and his passengers Orachun and Suphakit, both aged 17 and all from Jomtien area, stated they were only innocently driving around. The police thought it suspicious so tested their urine and found that all proved to be positive – they had been taking drugs.

Even though the police had no evidence to charge them for trying to steal public cables, the men will be charged for taking drugs.
