His speech writer, selected by those around Biden, deserve all the praise.

He'll still lose. Moderates will swing to Trump

Were you under the impression that most politicians write their own speeches? Kinda doubt it. And while the words may be the speech writer's, the one making the speech and bringing them alive was Biden. It is always labeled _________'s (fill politician name here) speech, speech writer are not usually publicly credited for their work. Part and parcel of the trade.

Would like to see some actual support for the last lines' assertions. Not holding my breath.

Interesting. So it's "riots and lawlessness" now? Before they were "largely peaceful protests". Riots is much more accurate. But because they are trying to change the political status quo using violence and intimidation they are IMO more accurately called terrorists. Still, the worst violence and chaos is happening in Portland, Seattle, Chicago(although not on Mayor Lightfoot's block - her family deserve to be safe), NYC and St.Louis which have one thing in common. They are all democrat run.

I wonder if the voters in these anarchic states are impressed by the democrat leaders tacit support for those that made the streets unsafe? Guess not.

What's interesting is the lows some Trump supporters on here will stoop for. As opposed to your dishonest presentation, there wasn't a wholesale denial of "riots and lawlessness". Asserting that these happen does not imply that most instances were, indeed, "largely peaceful protests".

What you wonder about will be decided at the ballot. So far, do you have any reliable information supporting your assertions regarding voting trends?

In democratic governed states that are letting it happen as a political tool.

As your post does.

Are you seriously trying to claim Trump did not use the protests, riots and looting for political gains? Really think it's only a Democrat thing? Pretty much any public instance of whatever is utilized in such a manner, but you'll have people believe, against obvious evidence, that Trump is above that?

Lefties get it wrong all the time. That's why fighting Covid doesn't go anywhere.

Again - demon sperm, alien DNA. Not too hard, is it?

Obama and biden left the US in a much better position than when then came to power.

But agree, he will need all his experience to try and fix the total mess and chaos trump has done.

In most duopolies the parties take turns wrecking the economy, enriching the same sponsors, and screwing the poor and middle classes.

Have no love for Trump, nor his opponent, but as the old saying goes putting lipstick on a pig doesn't change that its still a pig.

Sadly the reality is that most politicians are liars, crooks and incompetent. Their only role is to give the rich access to suck the National Treasury dry. Voting blue or red changes absolutely nothing. Bread and circuses.

But what he largely communicates are falsehoods, whether intentionally (lying) or through ignorance. You don't think he's going to get called on that. And I've heard Biden interviewed recently and he seems capable of offering detailed fact based explanations. Has Trump ever performed similarly?

No, not even in court.

A balanced view from Yahoo! News—quite a surprise.  Thanks, Earl.  BTW, did you notice they suspended all Comments there?  Gotta wonder if this is a political move...

July 23, 2020 is when they discontinued, so a month now. They include most all Fox News Opinion videos and National Review articles. It seemed to me that the Russians left a while ago.

This is completely untrue.

Firstly, 9 of the last 10 recessions (10 out of 11 if you include this one) have been under Republicans.

As Forbes magazine said - 'It is simply a fact that since World War II, Democratic presidents have seen 24.4 million more jobs created on their watch—an average of 78.6% more jobs created per year of Democratic administrations—than have Republican presidents. Ditto real GDP growth, 44% higher under Democratic presidents. On the flip side, unemployment has been 18% higher under GOP presidents.

Dems Vs Repubs by the numbers. *last 50 yrs

Years held Presidency: -       Repub- 28yrs,                  Dem- 22 yrs

Total jobs created:-             Repub- 24 Million,             Dem- 42 Million

Stock market return:-          Repub- 109%,                   Dem- 992%

GDP:-                                 Repub- 2.7%,                    Dem- 4.1%

Income growth:-                 Rep- 0.6%                        Dem- 2.2%

(source politico, bloomberg, USDL, figures up to 2016)

You simply cannot say that the economy is the same with either party when the actual figures show a very different story.  Despite Bush's tax cuts, less federal income, The 'War on Terror' and of course the near melt down of the economy, Obama eventually got the budget deficit down to $666 Billion in 2017. Despite a souring economy, the budget deficit under Trump was $779 Billion in 2018, rising to over a $Trillion in 2019 and way, way over this in 2020 https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2020/02/01/trumps-deficits-are-racing-past-obamas/#196061064819.

He has already got the National Debt to a staggering $23 trillion ($3 trillion extra in a booming economy thanks to his tax cuts), and that's not even counting the cost of covid. https://www.businessinsider.com/national-debt-deficit-trump-how-it-compares-obama-bush-clinton-2019-11 eview.com/2018/07/trump-budget-deficits-growing-big-spending-fiscal-irresponsibility/

If you want to sort out a GOP mess, best to put a Democrat in.

Wonderful research JohnnyB........look forward to your informative posts, but the problem we have with printing facts and the truth, is that trumpies will/do not see them as they live in an "alternative trumpian reality"

None so blind as those who will not see.
