British Bulldog
Big Boys with Big Toys - Ironically, the Bay of Thailand of 320,000 km2, only has an average water depth of 58m's ... the enemy wouldn't require special sub detecting missiles, you would see them cruising along in that depth of water ! ????
HappyinNE
Why not just buy a few carrier qualified aircraft and then film the Carrier Qualifications for us to watch. Would be fun. (Yes I have landed on a carrier as the pilot)

Popular Post poskat
can you imagine the scene, when during the deliberations, one of them says "hey...wait a minute...do you think that this money might be better spent on helping the current economic downturn, and especially the tourism workers?" "We are in office for quite a while more, why dont we put this off for a few years... we can get our kickbacks later...." after 30 seconds of dead silence, he then says "just kidding, of course" and they al had a good laugh together.... 2

Popular Post nausea
Whilst there are tons of reasons why this is not a good decision on a practical level, the real point here is that it shows just how disconnected the government is from the people. Thomas J
This is a Want In Search Of a Need. Just what possibly could be the rationale for Thailand owning any submarines. To ward off the enemy China, Russia, or Japan. Heck, with the relics that Thailand is buying, it is more likely they will sink rather than be any sort of a military weapon.
