Israel includes Thailand in list of safe countries

Israeli Ambassador Meir Shlomo announced on Sunday (August 30) that Thailand has been added to his country’s list of 21 safe countries, whose citizens will be exempted from the 14-day quarantine when they travel to Israel.

 

However, he said, this list will be reviewed every fortnight.

 

The ambassador added that this exemption also covers Thai labourers who work in Israel’s farming sector.

 

Last week, 92 Thai workers headed off to Israel for employment, becoming the first such group to travel overseas after Covid-19 hit the world.

Well you sure won't get the same treatment if you come here Mr Shlomo????

Would have though Israel for humanitarian reasons - and propaganda one - would be importing a few more people left with no homes and jobs after recent explosive events nearer to home than importing Thais.

Lebanon isnt Covid free , so Lebanese cannot go to Israel

Even if there were no Covid, These 2 countries are technically still in war with each other, so don't think either citizens are going to visit each other any time soon.

Always comes down to cheap labor....

 The only problem is when you come back from Israel to Thailand then you’ve been quarantine for 14 days TIT

No, this thread is about Israel allowing Thais into Israel without the need for them to go into quarantine
