That's what happens when a society is reactive.

That's what happens when police spend all day in air-con office playing candy-crush on phone instead of learning the road rules and then enforcing them

  • What's all the fuss about. This pick-up truck is no different to thousands of others that are over sized and over loaded. No one seems to bother about any of them, especially the police.

  • Their job?

Yes, a truck driver could do this in any country.....     But try doing it in the US/UK/Australia, etc... and see how far you get before the police pull you over, give you ticket AND ma

No different to all the hazards when walking on a Bkk pavement. The police do nothing about them either.

This should tell you everything you need to know about this country and its inhabitants.

And educated people still want to pile money into this place and skirt around laws to 'live' here.

By any chance, do you happen to be uneducated and living here?

critical comments including some that suggested "the police do nothing".

RTP makes noises about black-out windscreens; excessive speed; drunk driving; polluting vehicles; loud motor bikes.  Then they gather in gangs to 'fine' students without helmets or licences and DO NOTHING about the other offences.

driver of pickup should have/be charged with having  DANGEROUS LOAD whilst on  a PUBLIC road......get him/her bannned from driving.........for a couple of years !!

But  no problem if the load was 10  metres high on their vehicles

so they should have been stacked towards the SKY EH ????!!!!

Pretty sure they would pay up before being waved on too.

I dont think height is  an issue just width

Reasonable bet you could throw in no licence, no insurance, no road tax, bald tyres.

Perm' any two from four above.

Don't know about it being a "reasonable" anything, sounds more like unreasonable, uninformed, Thai-bashing speculation.

My wife had a fender bender last week. It was decided that she was to blame, although it was really 50/50, because she had 1st class insurance and the other car had no insurance at all. Not Thai bashing, just stating the bleeding obvious.

"...just stating the bleeding obvious".

It is not, to use your words, "bleeding obvious" that the driver of the pickup in the OP "had no licence or insurance, or that the pickup was not taxed and had bald tyres"

Your wife's alleged experience is of no relevance whatsoever to the condition of the pickup in the OP or the legality of it's driver, you were Thai-bashing.
