Thailand Explore
Thailand is home to a lot of world beaters from it’s food, beaches and to its markets. I had heard a lot about Chatuchak market in Bangkok but always resisted the visit as I am not a big one for shopping. However my wife has always wanted to go so I finally gave in and decided to go. I knew it was big, but not as big as it actually was. It was huge and actually some of the stalls offered far more than your regular market offering. fruitman
Wow! You're so adventurous mate! Why didn't you go into the small alleys? The ones with the snakes are the best.
phantomfiddler
Last time I was there they were flogging anacondas (and they WERE anacondas !)
Orton Rd
Last time I went in 2008, Buddha statues, even after bargaining were cheaper on Sukhumvit road stalls. Hotspot for pickpockets, horrible place. 1

Are you sure you didn't get off at the wrong BTS stop and were in Patpong instead ?
mfd101
The dozen or more times I've been there over the years (usually escorting visiting friends from Oz) it has ALWAYS been swelteringly hot. Glad to escape after 20 minutes.

With much of the same stuff for sale but with air conditioning
hotchilli
Knowing what Thai markets are like, going to the worlds largest one is not my idea of a fun day out.
Sumarianson
The largest least frequented market in the world as I was there last weekend. No tourists no market, soon will close like lots of small businesses. The NWO plan is working like a treat.
