Singer Chaiamorn “Ammy” Kaewwiboonpa from the Bottom Blues band posted an Instagram message on Wednesday (September 9) saying he will go to Samranrat Police Station to face charges for throwing blue paint at a police officer on August 28.

On Tuesday, the band announced on its Facebook page that Ammy had been summoned to face charges for causing damage to others.

The singer, meanwhile, said on social media that he had received the summons last week, and initially decided not to respond because has no faith in the Thai justice system.

However, he said he changed his mind because his mother was losing sleep over the matter.

Ammy splashed blue paint at a police officer as scuffles broke out when activist group Dao Din’s leader Jatupat Boonpattararaksa and 14 other anti-establishment protest leaders reported to answer charges at Samranrat Police Station on August 28.

The singer’s action became the subject of discussion on social media, as to whether such behaviour can be considered violent. The officer was immediately compensated for the ruined uniform.

Blues is he ..

As he's a singer, perhaps he remembers The Beautiful South, who had a hit album called Blue Is The Colour in 1991.
