If anyone needed confirmation that the WHO is a corrupt waste of space, this is it.

It should be defunded and disbanded immediately.

Tedros? Anutin? We're supposed to take advice from these clowns?

Another clown?

Good grief.

Mixing politics with a body which should be kept as far away from politics as possible is outrageous and unforgivable.

WHO is no longer a health organisation, but a political entity, perhaps it always was a political entity which is why the advice and direction from the WHO throughout this crisis has been so misdirected.

Why not. I always thought committees and organisations like this were all about building bridges?

anybody knows what his professional background is ?

Now Asia will be advised to ban the dirty farangs too.

Unbelievable how such a moron can get any position. Trump was right about the WHO and China. China supports any dictatorship government which is why we end up with that moron getting an international job.

The WHO's paymasters needed someone that will do as they are told.

Not sure he fits that bill.

He is a loose cannon with poor self control and a tendency to speak without thinking first.

Quote from wikipedia:-

Anuthin is heir to a major construction company fortune. His family's company, Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction PCL, built several government mega-projects such as Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.[5] An engineer, Anuthin served as president of Sino-Thai.[

Without context it would be difficult to know which politician you are discussing (including international politicians).

And yes, he is a loose cannon who’s ego and self importance oversteps his candor.

That moron also has never criticised China where covid started, despite the effect it's had on the Thai economy.

He only blamed the dirty foreigners and the ones turning down his free mask offer, even though they all contracted it via his Chinese buddies.

this suports all those that have bagged who for appointing non qualified idiots to run the show, anyone that listens/takes advice from who is a moron, they stuffed up in china badly and now with this pathetic appointment have screwed south east asia

Just shows us how low that WHO has fallen.

(I wonder how much influence China had in this decision even though he was 'voted' in by the SEA committee).

WHO, are they nuts?

primo example of the absolute wrong guy in the wrong role; low intellect , zero tact, no background in the position he was APPOINTED to

So, just perfect for the job!!!!!!!

Nah, it's Brazil where the nuts come from.

The boss of WHO is from Eritrea,  and A-Nut-in is from Thailand.

A nut in a chair. Unbelievable!

Don't mention it to Donald.

Oh hell no!!

This is a really bad choice, he simply doesn't have the intellect necessary for the position

He's making his first address, tweeted just now by WHO Thailand

"While we are waiting for the vaccine we must keep out guard high and gradually re-open our economies." - Anutin Charnvirakul, Minister of Public Health, Thailand

Sickening is the only word I have for his appointment.

Do the WHO even know who they have appointed as their Head Representative in SE Asia ?

Just Google his name and read the results.

The small amount of credibility that the WHO had before this appointment has been lost, but maybe the new man has promised to replace  the funding that DJ Trump stopped.

The whole World is going to Hell in a Handcart.

A man with zero education in any area of health or public health ????

Seems anyone can be anything now-just pay, lie, or blackmail your way

Edited by Redline

I read the opening post 3 times and then checked the calendar.

I was surpried that the date was september and not April.

Another foot-in-mouth step by WHO.

A nut-in the Thai cabinet is one thing; in a World position is quite another.
