Five family members found shot to death

 

 

Three men, a woman and a 9-year old boy were found dead, in what is suspected to be a multiple suicide or murder-suicide, at a house in the Suksawat area of Bangkok on Thursday morning.

 

Neighbours reportedly said they heard several gunshots inside the house in a housing estate and immediately alerted the police.

 

Police from Thun Khru police station rushed to the scene, where they found the victims lying dead on the floor in pools of blood.  One of the men was found to be holding a pistol in his hand.

For a lot of Thai these are desperate times and unfortunately some people do desperate and illogical things like this because they cant cope with what's happening .

Killing a 9 year old boy is hardly illogical or desperate - I'd call it just plain EVIL

Family of five shot dead in Thung Kru

Police have launched an investigation into a shooting in Bangkok’s Thung Kru district that left two men, two women and a child dead.

 

Pol Colonel Kritsana Pattanacharoen, deputy police spokesman, said the five people – a grandfather, grandmother, mother, father and a nine-year-old boy – were killed in their home in Suksawat alley at around 8.30am on Thursday (September 17).

 

The family had been running a chemical business from the house.

 

The forensic team collecting evidence from the crime scene found a gun in the hand of the boy’s father, who was identified as “Lek”.

 

Neighbours said they heard the grandmother shout: “Lek, you’re hurting me.”

 

Police believe Lek may have been facing financial stress and decided to murder his father, mother, wife and son before killing himself.

No, it could only be a murder-suicide and not a multiple suicide. A nine year old kid could not possibly make an informed decision to take his own life. So, at the very least, that part of it was murder.

I suspect 3 of the others weren't too enthusiastic about the idea either.

The sheer amount of ( illegal ) guns in Thailand is frightening ... nearly everybody seem to have one ...

Condolences to the innocent deceased, but this has all the hallmarks of deep debt biting in and the loss of everything.

But to take out the whole family is beyond me.

When my son was young he had 3 friends do exactly that. In Australia.
