Motorists advised to avoid some roads and use alternative routes this weekend

The Metropolitan Police are advising motorists in Bangkok to avoid roads which are expected to be affected by the protest march from Thammasat University to Government House this weekend.

 

The roads to be avoided include:

 

  • Ratchadamnoen Nok
  • Ratchadamnoen Nai
  • Ratchadamnoen Klang
  • Somdet Phra Pinklao
  • Visutkasat
  • Chakkrapatdiphong
  • Larn Luang
  • Dinsor
  • Tanow
  • Rama 8 Bridge
  • Phra Pinklao Bridge

 

 

Recommended alternative routes for motorists from Bangkok to Thon Buri are:

 

  • Yommaraj expressway exit-Sawankhaloke-Rajavithi-Krung Thon (Sunghee) Bridge
  • Rama 6-Rama 1-Liab Khlong Padungkasem-Yaowaraj-Chakkrawat-Phra Pokklao Bridge
  • Rama 4-Yaowaraj-Chakkrawat-Phra Pokklao Bridge
  • Rama 4-Sathorn Tai-Taksin

I would have thought most drivers would be doing that anyway...
