The Energy Policy Administration Committee on Monday resolved to cap the retail price of cooking gas at Bt318 per 15-kilo cylinder for another three months, until the end of December.

The move is aimed at easing living costs during the Covid-19 pandemic, said Energy Policy and Planning Office director-general Wattanapong Kurowat.

The subsidy is expected to cost the Oil Fund Bt450 million per month.

The committee also tasked the Energy Regulatory Commission with revising the service fee for piping natural gas to companies, aiming to create an “appropriate price”.

This is such a low price.   That's 10$ US for 15kg.  Our 20# or about 8.8 kg costs about 16$   where does this low cost gas come from?  Perhaps its low cost to hook people on using gas and then the price will go up.

Petrol is 30% cheaper than 10 years back ..... the real question to ask is why isn't gas 30% cheaper?
