I'm staying at hotel near Jomtien immigration on Soi 5.

Coming back to hotel just now the employee said the power is going to be out tomorrow from 9 am-at least 11 pm because of rain today. They hope it will be on by 11 pm. 

I tried searching online for notice from PEA about this and could not find anything. I would like to verify that this is official and not something hotel is doing.  If official shut down, I would think Jomtien immigration would also be subject to shutdown, inconveniencing many people trying to update status b4 the 26th.

I'm concerned that this was a planned outage and they did not notify guests in advance due to fear of losing reservation. 

I'M considering moving to another hotel due to this. 

 

Where can I check for official power outage notice? 

Not sure about the website, whether they post outages somewhere, but two options:

• Local PEA office in Jomtien, Phone 038-076260 (no idea whether they offer English language)
• PEA hotline 1129 with Option 1: Outage Notification (again, language?) or Option 9 for English speaking agent

Thank you for your response decided to go to another hotel as this is the last nail in the coffin so to speak. 

Several things present hotel changed too much of inconvenience to now be forced out for 14 hours.
