A divisive subject, but ..............

 

A left leaning rag has highlighted the news that the UK monarchy are about to benefit from a UK government bailout to help with the Crown Estate's annual revenue having diminished by a mere 500 million quid.    

 

I was brought up, and was expected to respect, the Monarchy.  Maybe now having had a good few years to contemplate, I can take a back seat to try and understand where the world is going.  A bit cynical I know, but I get the impression that there are so many global catastrophes driven by war, famine, religious belief, weather and political ideology that deserve more recognition than are currently get.     https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/queen-gets-government-bailout-after-value-of-crown-estate-slumps/24/09/
