amnesty was extended to 26th Sept in July, they have been making it clear for weeks this would not be extended, people had way longer than 30 days to make arrangements, I personally think they should have extended, sending tourist home when needing tourists makes no sense, equally those that got staying for an extended period have little to complain about

The government now want a few people coming to quarantine were they have them by the nuts paying in excess of Bt300,000 for a 14 day lock up and if they test positive for CV19 then god knows what kind of further financial hurt awaits them

I also believe they want to rid places like pattaya of the gogo and bar scene what better way to achieve that than to deny them customers

so what does the future hold

You seem to prefer emotion over law.

Unless I'm mistaken the Thai government has been more than generous with the amnesty and now time's up.  If one meets the visa requirements then you're free to carry on.
