The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Saturday that the monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast while the weakening southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the South, resulting in less rain all over the country.

From September 27–29, the monsoon trough will shift to lie across the lower North, the Central and the Northeast while the low cell over the South China Sea will move to the East, the lower Central and the upper Gulf. More rain is expected over Thailand with isolated heavy to very heavy rain during those three days.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:

North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 32-35°C.

Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 24-25°C, maximum 32-34°C.

Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 34-36°C.

East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 31-34°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 32-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 32-33°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.

Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 25-27°C, maximum 33-36°C.
