The Cabinet on Tuesday decided to extend the emergency decree by another month until the end of October in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The decision was made at the advice of Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration.

This is the sixth time that the state of emergency has been extended since March.

More likely worried about the student protests due in mid October.

Anybody see the hypocrisy at work here?

The same people need to extend the state of emergency for the good of the general public yet at the same time are flying Chinese into Phuket, mind boggling really...

Thank the democrats for installing a military government.  Thank god for the young in Thailand.  The old do bad things or are too compliant and put up with bad things.

Obviously it feels the need to keep it in place just in case the "Phuket model" doesn't end well.

Dovetails nicely with our plan to return next year.
