Get over it why don't you UK is out of the club there's no rules in war or business.

Your a remainer Scot I take it.

What I said was correct though wasn't it? The EU did not move the goalposts. They operated within the WA.

There are plenty of rules in war and business.

  • Of course they don't. Why should they? Once the world realises that UK cannot be trusted who would want to make any deal with bungling boris and co.?

  • Johnson, the Tories and Brexiteers are destroying this once proud nation......the economy is shutting down, trade agreements will be reneged upon....we have already lost our standing in the world....h

  • The EU will have to accept that Britain has already left. They don’t get a say on the Internal Markets Bill.

Like I said I don't care the UK should dump the EU but the EU still keeps clinging on.

The EU is like a leech because they need to show an example to other members if they want to leave like UK has.

Stuff the EU.

Unfortunately we may have to break international law twice to avoid a trip to Strasbourg, because, if I remember correctly, any disputes involving the terms and provisions of the Withdrawal Agreement have to be settled by the ECJ. I think that this is written into the WA itself. What an amazing piece of work! It's so easy to see that the WA was mainly written by the EU, with very little input from the UK - I think that this is a main reason that Davis quit, apart from his being kept out of most of the real negotiations, which were totally fouled up by May and Robbins.

The WA is terrible for the UK - better not to have signed it at all - as we can all see now!

"The WA is terrible for the UK - better not to have signed it at all - as we can all see now!  "

But your Boris signed.....???? and sold it to you voters as a victory ...a phirric victory ….and a British signature has now  a bad shadow over it selves  …..

So that could count for our side too …… I think that the E.U. can stuff you even legally way ….no need to break treaty or signature's....just by saying ….  no !

I try to understand the Remainers, they seems to not want to accept that 52% will decide about the future of 100%, but that's the way it is with a simple majority.

Thus they present the future of the U.K. as somber and all negative.

To be honest I think the Brexiters here present the future of the U.K. as a bit too positive/optimist as well.

But time will tell.

However not an easy job for the U.K. government next year :

proving that the Leavers made the right decision;

proving the Remainers that they made the wrong choice.

This can only be reached with concrete decisions/facts which all can see and experienced.

Only 37% of the electorate voted to leave.   No other organisation would accept a fundamental change to it's constitution without a 66% majority of votes.

The UK desperately needs proportional representation.

I dont believe he is arguing about whether the UK has left or not.

He is simply stating that the UK should abide by the agreement they made when it left. The one Johnson claimed was an oven ready deal. In fact he was claiming it was a great deal, a fantastic deal, just after he signed it.

He was clearl, and knowingly lying when he said it was oven ready, a great deal, a fantastic deal.  Has the world not leaned that Bonkin' Boris cannot tell the truth ?

Oddly enough I think most the people who voted for Brexit will accept it.

That is 37% of the electorate !

I was commenting on the WA, not who signed it. Of course I know who signed it.

This argument (massaging the numbers) was a waste of time 4 years ago and is totally irrelevant now, because we have left the EU! For your own sanity and wellbeing you should drop it.

Good. He ended the deadlock in Parliament and finally got us out of the EU! The IMB is the icing on the cake.

well,

the need for PR rather than FPTP is still there,

regardless of what sort of voting and counting that brought Brexit around

If the UK, outside the EU, is the dead duck floating gently away into economic and international obscurity that so many seem to gleefully predict, why are so many EU enthusiasts here so concerned about it?

Could it possibly be that they are wondering how to replace the money they will lose?

Could it be because they are not keen on having a competitive economy nearby?

Could it be because the great project is threatened?

Could it be through an altruistic concern for our future?

Just an idle thought.

You called it "concerned".

Fair enough.

I would call it "interested".

I am personally interested in the future of the E.U.,especially what concrete inpact the departure of the U.K.  will have on my daily life as Belgian pensioner.

I will have to wait, as what I read now are speculations (positive and negative ones).

As this is good news, I don't think it is due to the U.K. leaving the E.U.,

but Belgium government (yes we have one again) has just decide to increase some pensions.

Maybe if there is bad news in the future, it will be due to the departure of the U.K..

So why in heaven's name we would deal with this kind  U.K. goverment ....?

A NO is sufficient answer to it .

If since signing the agreement the EU has revealed that is has underhand intentions, the UK is quite right to rethink.

Could be because they don't like to see their homeland or a country they're fond of, commit economic suicide.

Artificial excuse for your breaking word / signature …..the World see this different ,so why E.U. would sign any other paper with U.K. as U.K. signing has no value anymore.....

So why you would expect from us to trust you from now ….

Because when money and peoples jobs are involved there is very little time for scruples. The tone of the Euros has completely changed from 18 months ago, remember when the likes of Barnier, Verhofstadt and Tusk were laughing and making cheap jibes at the UK, well they aint doing it now. I take the insults from the Euros as bitter respect.

give them some time ….. must be still in fabrication …… short said ….. all what they don't like or E.U. don't wish to give free hand to them as a no member .

They don't like their supposed  ancient supremacy threatened

The bit where you sign up to an international treaty and then completely reneged on parts of the treaty.......I'm guessing.

Brilliant,????????. The sniping the UK is receiving from our Euro friends is quite astounding, we make our own laws now and the EU don't like, one of the flock has wandered into the next field and they don't like it. It reminds of the song by Jilted John,

"Oh, she is cruel and heartless

To pack me for Gordon
Just 'cause he's better looking than me
Just 'cause he's cool and trendy

But I know he's a moron, Gordon is a moron
Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron"

So you see Gordon is not a moron, but the jilted lover calls him names to make himself feel better.????
