Trump says he has declassified documents related to Russia, Clinton email probes

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said he has declassified all documents related to federal investigations into Russian election interference and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private server for government emails.

 

"I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

ratcliffe trying to obfuscate and cherry-pick AFTER the Republican-chaired SSCI released its 1000 page report that details active coordination between 45's campaign and Russian intel is like some guy offering you a great deal on a Betamax franchise including lots of video tapes.

 

Of course, as PT Barnum put so long ago, there's a sucker born every minute, so there is an element of society that will drink in the ratcliffe ploy. Such an element shrinks by the day, as 45's chances for a 2nd term evaporate.

The DoJ have spent months investigating Trump’s ‘allegations’, they’ve come up with nothing.

 

So Trump orders the release of notes making allegations that the months long investigation could not substantiate.

If it can be proven that it was all a hoax deliberately perpetrated by the Democrats and Hillary, this is absolutely relevant at this election time. What follows is the difference between context and cherry-picking.....

 

Some intel came in that Russia was going to promote a meme that HRC was going to try to tie 45 and Russia together. John received that intel and on the docs made some notes. It does not mean HRC was actually planning to do that, but rather that as part of the overall plan, Russia was going to try to deflect by getting out in front of the Russia investigation and manufacture the meme that HRC was behind the Russia-45 link.

 

ratcliffe then cherry-picked docs to promote that meme, playing directly into the hands of Putin and the FSB/GRU operation. At best one could call ratcliffe an 'unwitting stooge' for the FSB, though in his case it does seem willful.

 

Obviously such obfuscation works with an habitually confused element of society. Russia and Putin count on that sort of thing, and their operations are constructed in such a way to create 'plausible denial'. These are headfakes, and they work. The bar is set pretty low for the element of society Putin can fool. The US does the same sort of thing, such as when it supplied the Mujahideen in Afghanistan with weapons to fight Soviet invaders, but got Russian-made weapons from Egypt and Israel so as to have 'plausible denial'.

 

Another example of a headfake in the entire Russian effort was when they hit some CA resident Facebook accounts with Internet Research Agency (a GRU entity) made up stories about HRC's health, etc. Russia knew 45 was going to get hammered in CA, so that part of their ploy was a waste of time except that it took attention away from their real targets, which were in WI, MI and PA. The IRA used the internal polling data provided to Konstatin Kilimnik by paul manafort at their meeting in Spain to target swing State voters. Combined with Putin's funding of Jill Stein's campaign (a ploy that sprung from watching what Perot '92 and Nader '00 did to the vote totals of Bush I and Gore...just enough to hand the elections to Bill Clinton and Bush II), 45 was able to take WI, MI and PA. Stein's vote totals in WI and MI were greater than the margin of 45 over HRC, and since nobody who voted for Stein would have had 45 as 2nd choice, Putin's ploy proved successful.

There is zero evidence of the Russia allegations being a ‘hoax’.

 

If there was Trump would order it released.

 

What we have is a heavily redacted Mueller report and a AG who mischaracterized it’s findings.

 

All that will change after the election.

There are separate  investigations that are continuously reviewing  other avenues  as a result of the criminal investigation , such as

I'm not sure if you've missed the explanation, but there is no such thing as an 'unmasking scandal'. That is a made up meme that works with people who have no background in intel or in classified information.

 

The law requires that any intel captured by SIGINT or HUMINT means that involves a USCit must not instantly disclose the USCit's name. Anyone who has a need to know in order to supply context can put in a request to unmask "Individual 1" or whatever name has been given. If approved that name is given to the intel person. This is extremely common.  There are tens of thousands of 'unmasking' requests every month, and this remains true under 45.

 

As for Durham, he's showing a little independence, and this is upsetting barr, because barr's goal is not truth but rather political capital. John Brennan was interviewed by Durham's team for about ten hours, and at the end John was thanked and told that he is not the subject of any investigation whatsoever. Durham, in fact, is actually coming to understand the actual nature of the Russia investigation. of course the SSCI 1000 page report pretty much put to bed anything but pure partisan politics, as it detailed active and extensive cooperation between 45's campaign and Russia intelligence operatives like Konstantin Kilimnik.

 

Yes, it's a long read, but if you go through it all the way to seeing Marco Rubio's name at the end, your questions will be cleared up. All you need is the will to sit down and read a Republican-chaired report.

Too little, too late.  Just about everyone has made up their minds, many in fact have already voted.  Trump's record as a failed President speaks for itself.  The country is ready to move on with President Biden.

Well, since Russian interference in the election has been repeatedly proven to be real, as were Russian connections to Trump's election campaign, I'd say your first paragraph is irrelevant.

How many investigations into Trump and his business affairs are still in work?  It's difficult to get an accurate count.  But if open investigations indicate guilt, Trump should have been locked up long ago.
