Oh, is that so? Have your special source provided any satellite pictures that can oppose the facts given by NCC1701A?

It is raining in Thailand RIGHT NOW.

i will GUARANTEE it will rain more in the next 12 hours

remember to look at the sky as you walk out of your closet and say good-bye to the local hostel.   The sky will provide clues.  If afraid to look up, download 100 apps and look to see if the ground is dry or wet.

Vietnam, no joke.  India, no joke.  Where I'm at, no flooding, so mai bpen rai

Hammering down in Pattaya right now. However, hardly a breath of wind. I always thought that cyclones/hurricanes had associated wind.

They do and to achieve TS status then sustained surface winds need to be a minimum of 34 knots. Along with a cyclonic formation (tropical revolving storm).

No. Because there is no storm there is no significant data.

Never seen 34 knots in Pattaya.

Not sure but if it happened I don't think the winds were sustained. Gusts maybe.

A Tropical Depression lies off the Vietnam coast heading west at 10 knots. It's the third low pressure system in 2 weeks but nothing like last year when we had the biggest floods my wife has seen in these parts.

I guess that depends on the education level of the person that reads them.

That certainly seems to be true here.
