BANGKOK (NNT) - The Thai government is to dispatch masks to Myanmar to aid the country in its effort to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs Chutintorn Gongsakdi, received 1 million masks from Charoen Pokphand Company to be sent to Myanmar by the Thai state. He explained that the masks are an expression of Thailand’s readiness to help others at this time and to help contain the virus, noting it is important to assist one of the country’s closest allies.

Other forms of aid being provided include urgently needed medical equipment, personnel development, PPE, mobile RT-PCR equipment, testing equipment and remote training. Realtime advice is to be provided to make treatment more effective.

So a Thai civilian company (CP) is donating the 1 million masks but the Thai govt is taking most of the credit.  Sounds right.
