A couple of hours ago I successfully completed my first 90 Day on-line report using the mobile app on my iPad. I got my approval back within seconds.

My wife then submitted her first 90 Day on-line report immediately afterwards and it came up with the following error.

We both entered the same required information in the same format.

Have tried several times and get the same error. Have also tried using different iPads.

We have both been doing our 90 Day reporting in person since 2014 at the same Immigration Office (Hua Hin) and using the same home address so we have a long history with that office.

Our last entry stamp into Thailand was 18 months ago and we have completed our annual extensions and numerous 90 Day Reports since then in person.

Has anybody seen this error message before?

Thanks for your help

Hi Joe, a quick update as may be useful for others too.

The app still isn’t working, and comes up with the same error message, but the on-line system using your link above worked first time.

The system said ‘Pending’.

On selecting “Check the status of your application” (green button) on the on-line system, and logging on, it showed ‘Approved’ and displayed the form for printing.

So we have both submitted our 90 Day reports on-line with approval received instantly.

Just a shame the app is temperamental but at least the on-line system works.

Thanks again for your help.

True. I was typing the online option when ubonjoe advised you.

Only pumping your thread as I also used same link a week ago and could not believe is was so straight forward. In my case the approval was next day.

I've tried several times myself the last two years, sometimes I get a blank page after send times I get a confirmation number pending one time got even an email back to only be told denied which has happen several times now. I go to the office with copies of application and continue to ask why I get funny answers funny looks.

Recently I wrote of my problems I got a few responses I went through the list of trouble shoots and still can't seem to figure out why I continue to get denied?

It is puzzling thailand49.

If you have previously completed 90 Day Reporting at your current Immigration Office, have not subsequently renewed/replaced your passport, and the information entered on the on-line reporting system matches the information on the Immigration System then you would expect automatic approval.

It seems that for those people where the reporting process works, some people get automatic and immediate approval  (as I did) and others have to wait between 1 day and up to a week or more.

I think next time we will use the on-line system and not use the app.

As DrJack54 said it really is straightforward to use the on-line system whilst there seem to be ongoing issues with the app.

Appreciate this doesn’t help your situation though as you keep getting your on-line reporting rejected .....

As I've reported earlier, after numerous previous successful online (computer not app) applications  (all approved in a day or 2), my last attempt only got to Pending status.

After giving up I went to PT immigration  office  (10 days after official reporting date ), and finally got it approved and a new reporting date next January .

Funny part is I got an email today saying my 90 day report (online) was not approved and to report to the local IO.

Left hand doesn't know what the tight hand is doing! !

The basic environment looks a bit like this.

image.png.8ba1ff3bedbc3d8ac8cfad44d0b0aa00.png

The transaction has been abandoned due to a timeout being exceeded.

After the abandon transaction timer expires, no further attempt is made to resolve the transaction with any resources that are unavailable or unable to acknowledge the transaction outcome.

If the transaction is in a prepared state before being abandoned, the transaction manager rollback the transaction to release any locks held on behalf of the abandoned transaction and writes an heuristic error to the server log.

The maximum amount of time that can be spent processing from the beginning of a transaction until the end of the first phase of a transaction is controlled by setting the value of the transaction-timeout attribute.

The recovery software tries to roll back the mobile session to the previous state where the mobile transaction can continue; but this process seems to have failed.

Why does the mobile transaction timeout but the Web Browser url work?

There are a many factors that can cause this issue; some external network related issues and some internal in the transactional logic interconnection between software modules.

The red Weblogic software server acts as the connector between the Mobile and Web Browser with the Database Management System and other resources.

Until you investigate the various server, network and transaction software error logs it's difficult to give a definite answer.

The mobile app session fails but the Web Browser is a new session and thus does not incur the mobile app issues and continues on to success.

My best guess and only a guess as I don't have access ott he logs, the mobile app logic is the issue, the Web Browser logic has been around for decades and well proven where the mobile app a more recent customized designed solution that was specifically developed on IOS and Android for the 90 days report.

From my experience, only use the Web Browser url to get a more consistent successful experience for 90 day reporting .
