House in Khao Noy Washed Away in Flood

As everyone knows; the rain has been pouring down continuously during these past few days which has caused wide spread flooding in some low areas in Pattaya.

Reporters heard through the police radio at about 1 am on 3rd May that a house next to the railway track had been washed away by a flash flood.

When reporters arrived, they found Mrs. Kamonmart and her 3 children asking for assistance from the Sawang Rescuers to help find their belongings washed away with half of the house.

The woman told reporters that her husband was working on a night shift in a factory at Laem Chabang. She was inside the house with her children watching TV and then went to sleep. Not long after she heard a loud noise under the room.

She quickly gathered her children and evacuated the house when suddenly the floor gave way and water flooded into the house, which collapsed and was washed away. Luckily the woman and children escaped unharmed from the natural disaster.

Authorities were informed of this incident and will assist the woman and her family regarding this matter. They will also inspect nearby areas and try to find a way to prevent anything like this from happening again.
