Exporting Medications - Thailand to Jamaica

Featured Replies

I have been a resident of Thailand for 20 years, on a "retirement visa" for the last 6.  I left Thailand for a "short" holiday in January and have not been able to return.

I took with me a small supply of my prescription meds but after 10 months I am almost out. I am trying to have the remainder of my prescription meds FedEx'ed to me in Jamaica from BKK.

I have a letter from my doctor in BKK that I am under her care, a written prescription for the meds and the clearance papers for import into Jamaica. FedEx here says there should be no problem. Does anybody know of any Thai laws or have any experience in this area?

A license is required to export medications.

If you will be using Fedex I suggest you contract Fedex Thailand and ask them what is required and if they can obtain it.

Are these drugs that expensive in Jamaica? Would It  be just as cheap to order from an online Canadian pharmacy?
