Hey, I have the last week of December off and plan to go somewhere for the New Years Eve. I'm in my twenties and it would be nice to party a bit ???? I've been looking into Samui/Phanghan/Tao, but reading the topics in their forums it looks like it's really empty. I'm not sure about Phuket, maybe it could be a little bit busier. I live in Bangkok, so I'm trying to get away somewhere. Do you have any guess, where is it worth going to for the NYE this year?

Pattaya if you want to party. Anywhere else will probably be pretty dead. Lots of people from the city will pile in their for the holidays.

No party towns in Thailand this NYE. Phuket is super dead. Pattaya would be the liveliest but don't expect too much.

PATONG and some west coast beach towns are dead;

Most of Phuket its life as normal without the many taxi's. mini and tour bus's clogging the roads.

Just in Kamala alone there over 12 bars open, ( including Cafe Del Mar) and doing business, plus numerous restaurants and hotels open

I live in the south of Phuket in Rawai for some reason it's doing ok, a few bars did close down and restaurants closed but the good ones still doing ok. Last night I went for a beer and the time I was there they had 12 people eating and drinking, whats it's like late at night I cant tell you Im to old now,

Patong, Karon and Kata is in a coma

Yes, many condos for rent, lots of hotel rooms available too. Plenty of girls getting bored. 5555555

Jeez, I'm doing my best mate. Having a couple of days in Areca Lodge this week with a "friend". Maybe more with a different friend.

Aren't you the one calling me an artist last week? Does your 'friend' own a dog?

I very much doubt it on both counts.
