I can actually believe that Trump would be convinced  by  others  to use  his fading  days  as POTUS  to inflict a scenario which for  himself  would be an infliction on the response of  his  successor.

It  would confirm all of the genuine concern and priorities  of  those who would wish  him  gone.

an age old untruth that has been regurgitated for decades, Bombing always works,  if the bombs are smart enough to hit vital areas, or, in Japan's case,  big enough.  Desert Storm one and two proved the concept once and for all. Smart interdiction is the name of the game.
