The point for the GOP is just to discredit the election with whatever means possible. Sad some fall forthisBS.

This about sums it up. They only consume news from dodgy sources. Figures.

Republican who temporarily blocked certification of Detroit's results shared election conspiracy theories on Facebook

Sad that someone like that can be on the board to certify results.

Seems to me he's making his image even worse by paying no attention at all to the very serious virus situation (near 250,000 dead, over 100,000 new infections every day).

When he should be in meetings and discussions/listening to the experts about the virus, and spending time on the transition, he's travelling around playing golf with his buddies, and ordering his followers to manufacture false claims and to disrespect the courts.

What a fool.

I disagree. His absence in any mission-critical meetings is a true blessing for our nation, indeed for the world.

It's quite clear that the man is a destructive and obstructive force for anything he touches. His abysmal ignorance and negative leadership skills make it impossible for him to add assistance to anything more complicated than a dog doing his business on a neighbor's lawn.

The entire country, as at least half of its citizens know, is much better off when he confines himself to the golf course and swaps grandiose lies with his few remaining sycophantic cronies. We should all hope Gulliano would join him.

When outside the Four Seasons Landscaping business, next door to an adult bookstore, Rudy said there was fraud.

When under oath in front of a judge,  he said the lawsuit wasn't about fraud. He's a disgusting individual. And so is the GOP for propagating these lies.

Brann asked what standard of review he should apply in the case. “I think the normal one,” Giuliani replied.

“Maybe I don’t understand what you mean by strict scrutiny,” Giuliani said at another point.

At a different moment, Giuliani said: “I’m not quite sure what ‘opacity’ means. It probably means you can see.”

Hang on, it ain't January 20th yet.

I'm on a mobile and can't figure out how to link but everybody should read Jeremy Stahl's article in Slate about Rudolph Giuliani's performance in court.  If it were anyone else I might even feel sorry for him but Giuliani deserved everything he got from the judge. Very funny.

There is no precedent for the Trump team's widespread effort to delay or undermine certification, according to University of Kentucky law professor Joshua Douglas.
"It would be the end of democracy as we know it," Douglas said. "This is just not a thing that can happen."

Small correction to this. Nobody is denying the observation windows were covered up. They were. The contentious issue is whether they were covered up to stop legal observers from doing their job because dodgy practises were occurring(the conservative's stance), or whether the windows were covered because the vote counters felt "intimidated" by observers who were trying to do their job, of observing the ballot count(the left's stance).

Or possibly (I wasn't there of course - but then I'm assuming that you weren't either) the windows were covered up because, whilst the official accredited observers were in the counting room, the counters felt intimidated by the crowds assembling outside? Bear in mind that the vote counters could be identified and subjected to "pressure" after the counting was finished?

I watched the story. It was technically not a lie, but the spin was, in the strictest terms, incredible.

And then, of course, there's this about one of the two dissenting Republicans who now apparently are trying to reverse course:

Quote

(CNN)William Hartmann, a Republican member of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers who temporarily blocked certification of election results in the Michigan county, has recently shared conspiracy theories about the election and Covid-19 on Facebook, CNN has found. He also shared racist posts about President Barack Obama during his presidency.

On Tuesday, he was one of two Republicans on the four-person Wayne County bipartisan canvassing board to temporarily block certification of votes based on dubious claims of voting irregularities in Detroit.

When Obama was in office, Hartmann's shared a series of racist posts about the President on Facebook that were still online on Wednesday.
The images in the posts equated Obama to a criminal and an Islamic terrorist.

This is who Trump wants watching out for the integrity of election voting?

Update from Michigan ????????:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/19/trump-campaign-drops-michigan-election-lawsuit-rudy-giuliani-says.html

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is dropping an election-related lawsuit in Michigan, the latest development in the multi-state effort to challenge President-elect Joe Biden’s projected electoral victory.

In a court filing Thursday morning, a lawyer for the Trump campaign said the lawsuit, which had sought to stop the certification of ballots in Wayne County, Michigan, was being withdrawn because the county’s board of canvassers “met and declined to certify the results of the presidential election.”

But that statement is false: The board voted to certify the results, after an outcry over Republican members who initially voted not to certify. Those two GOP members now say they want to rescind their votes. But state officials say that is not possible, and that the certification is official.

What a wimpy excuse.  Got spine?

Or maybe DT's "I whine until I win" strategy is catching on with the GOP.  It worked for Bret Cavanaugh.

trump has no hope for changing the outcome of the election, yet still persists with his highly divisive tactics and 'swamp' activities. trump must be one of, if not the most corrupt president in US history. Unfortunately even when he is removed from power, media will still be reporting on trump and his BS. Would be great if MSM collectively decided to no longer report on trump's comments after 20/01, except advising the prison sentences for him and corrupt members of his family and associates.

You'll never know the truth if you actually believe the fake news coming from Fox. Stunning some fall for it.

The latest is Trump called them and invited them to the WH. He should be impeached for this. Again.

Trump invites Michigan GOP lawmakers to White House after calling officials in key county

The invitation comes after Trump called 2 GOP members of the canvassing board in the county that includes Detroit, who later sought to rescind their vote certification.

1,500 died yesterday and Trump went golfing. 4 times in the past week.

Ah, it's all becoming clear now - it is of course, the communists (and Hugo Chavez) who are to blame. ????

Quote

These crooks have stolen an election from Donald Trump,” Rudy added, toweling himself off one last time. “They elected Donald Trump, they didn’t elect Joe Biden.” All through a very simple process of collaborating with multiple communist countries across the world, dumping ballots into polling stations in front of witnesses, and getting 15,000 people per county in every swing state silently involved.

His colleague Sidney Powell also chimed in with some classic stuff:

Quote

There’s been a “massive influence of communist money from Venezuela, Cuba and probably China,” she said, adding that the voting machines were made “under the direction of Hugo Chavez”.

Giuliani-Powell press conference

I was just watching the news on PBS and some poll now claims 70+% of trump supporters now believe the election was 'stolen' by Biden. trump is trying to destroy the Biden presidency, one would think such behaviour is illegal. Hopefully trump and co will face legal action, once Biden is sworn in, for their corrupt behaviour.

  • Popular Post

From USA Today:

"Dominion calls the claim from Trump that its machines deleted 941,000 votes for him in Pennsylvania alone "impossible."

That's because Dominion only serves 14 counties in the state, which produced a total of 1.3 million votes — 52%, or 676,000, of which went to Trump. That only leaves 624,000 other votes, fewer than what Trump claims were switched."

If 45 and his minions are going to make baseless claims, they should at least manufacture a lie not so easily disproved.
