Close enough to be able to see and verify the ballots.

If they cannot see the content of the ballots what are they observing?

So how close could the Dem observers get?  The same? How unfair!

How about in FL?  Ohio? NC? How close could Dem observers get?

And why isn't lindsey calling election officials in OH, FL, NC, etc., to ask them to invalidate ballots?

The repubs are sitting back and allowing this attack against democracy all because they live in fear of 45's cult.

I'm wondering when a judge will lose patience with this circus, and start reporting lawyers to their bar associations with a view to having them disbarred.

This is all a bit silly isn't it?  Biden won, there is no evidence of voter fraud being produced.  The level of denial by Trump and his (few remaining) chums is completely unrealistic.  Get a grip USA!

All observers in all states should be close enough to be able to meaningfully observe, else what is the point?

Soooooo glad we left when we did, this is a very bad circus, not funny...

And that's why law firms are withdrawing from these cases faster than trump can grab a passing p****!

Dozens of cases have been thrown out of court, after the judges have made the simplest of requests. Where is the evidence? Humanahumanahumana. Well, your honor, we do not have any. Then, why are you here? Well, the president said we were tasked with filing these (frivolous) lawsuits.

Dismissed!

The Republicans need to man up, and tell Trump to get lost.

Ross Perot ran a moderately successful Presidential campaign as an independent in 1992. Used his own money, got about 18% of the vote.

I suspect that's what Trump would get if he ran as an independent, and he would certainly be trying to use other people's money. Whether there are enough suckers around to finance him would be a different question.

I was surprised at that percentage so checked, he even got almost 19%. I'm pretty sure Trump would get more as an independent, 30% up I'd say.

Calm yourself, if a seminal idea ever entered Trump's head, it would be a clear case of promiscuity.

Perot made a few mistakes, such as offending the black vote, and withdrawing prematurely. I would run out of fingers and toes enumerating the mistakes Trump has made, so I guess with a 30% vote it is an indicator of how far America has been dumbed down.

Or, fined millions of $s on the spot for disrespecting the law and the processes of the law and wasting the time and resources of the courts, and for good measure disbarred for life.

The hand over date is January 21st

Yes, but still wearing their MAGA hats, they will carry the refrains of "the stolen election" in self-righteous indignation to all that will listen for the next two months, then for another few months only to those that share the 'loss of great leadership' that the country has suffered in this election. Over the following few months they will realize that their diatribe is as unwanted as a toothache to nearly everybody outside their shrinking circle of 'true believers'. Finally they will conclude that it's easier and safer to just let it go and resume normal life to avoid derision from acquaintances and co-workers.

I refuse to believe that all Trump supporters are as vulgar, crass, vindictive, soulless, and mean-spirited as their erstwhile Beloved Leader. They let their enthusiasm for his policies overcome their common sense and innate human values. Many will review the man himself and conclude that not only did he not deliver the policies that he promised, but that he actually disdains and despises 'common' people such as themselves. I also firmly believe that many Republicans voted against Trump specifically because they understood what a poor example of humanity he is. This is why Republicans made gains in the House and maintained seats in the Senate, but Trump himself was so thoroughly thrashed. This gives me hope.

Of course there will be a relatively large number of supporters that will still worship their idol and they will serve as the kernel of the next generation of ideologues who will find another demagogue to follow. Another demagogue will always appear as long as this reservoir of gullible followers who celebrate divisiveness, bigotry, anarchy, and hate exist. History shows this to be an endless cycle.

It is unlikely that Americans will allow another celebrity charlatan to threaten democracy again very soon, but eventually too many will forget the dark period we have just lived through, and lower their guard.

Nope...even these majority Christian nationalist justices have enough lawful integrity and constitutional patriotism to unanimously rule against Trump. Doubtful they will even take the case. They want no part of it. It's all just prolonging the inevitable by a sad, sorry excuse of anything even close to human.

Am I the only one noticing a change in narrative?

Straight after the election the establishmentarian stance was, there is no voter fraud. PERIOD.

Now the stance is, OK there was some isolated fraud and many irregularities but it is not enough to change the election result, and should not be investigated more.

Small correction to this. Nobody is denying the observation windows were covered up. They were. The contentious issue is whether they were covered up to stop legal observers from doing their job because dodgy practises were occurring(the conservative's stance), or whether the windows were covered because the vote counters felt "intimidated" by observers who were trying to do their job, of observing the ballot count(the left's stance).

The narrative has not actually changed. What has changed is that people have simply conceded that fraud exists in all election cycles, but has been and still is so small as to be negligible. The truth of this is evident daily as one court after another throws out the specious lawsuits that are wasting time and taxpayer money. People are simply indulgently accommodating Trump supporters in their strident grasping of straws.

In truth, Americans on the left and right are taking heart in knowing that election fraud and outside influences has had no impact whatsoever on the election results. That is precisely what the Trump supporters have been and still are so ardently trying to disprove, with absolutely no success. It is simply disingenuous to say that Trump supporters are now so very interested in the robustness of the American electoral system. These are the same ones who sat by and smugly supported Republican efforts to skew election results with every dirty trick they could dream up. They are spoiled children who did not get their way and are throwing a tantrum.

As for covering the windows, the official observers were inside the building. The election office has no mandate to open their windows to aggressive gawkers carrying bats and guns. Why should they subject their workers to such a threatening environment?

What he will win is the poor consolation prize of derision, amusement, and embarrassment simply by trying to stretch credulity past the breaking point. Note that such prize does not include wasting the High Court's time.

I have to applaud your aplomb though. You remind me so much of Wylie Coyote in his never-ending but always futile pursuit of the Roadrunner. It does serve for a few seconds of entertainment.

Your answer perfectly shows how out of touch Trump supporters are with the real world.

They think because Trump packed the supreme court, they're above the law, and can achieve anything they want

You forgot bringing the legal profession into disrepute. With Giuliani himself, that ship sailed when Borat filmed him with his hand down his pants.

First, Giuliani himself backed off the fraud claim in court. He spouts "fraud" from landscaping parking lots but when it actually comes down to official court, Giuliani stated "This is not a fraud case". Giuliani knows if he stated it was fraud without any proof, he could find himself perjuring himself in open court which would most likely lead to being disbarred.

Second, the observer issues cases have pretty much been dropped or laughed out of court.

They have nothing left but procedural issues which in fact occur in every presidential election. There are reports that there were more procedure issues in the 2016 election than in the 2020 election but yet I assume you have no issue with the 2016 election. I fact, I bet you have no issue with any down ballot (Senate, Congress, etc...) outcome, right? For some reason, just the Presidential election is in doubt, right? Pfft...

As Trump’s election lawsuits fizzle, Giuliani goes to court. It doesn’t get better

Quote

But under questioning from U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann, Giuliani admitted, “This is not a fraud case.” Brann did not issue a ruling on Tuesday, but he was openly skeptical of Giuliani’s arguments.

The case is narrowly focused on whether local election officials in Pennsylvania should have given voters an opportunity to fix problems with their mail ballots after submitting them.

The 6,000 vote switcheroo you claim never happened literally changed Antrim counties election results. Now I am being smeared I will waste 2 minutes to look for a left wing msm source that mentions the issue.

Trump received more votes than Biden in Antrim County, but the day after the election it appeared Biden had beaten Trump by 3,000 votes. The county posted and revised figures Friday that showed it's still red. The Michigan Secretary of State said late Friday that a failure to properly update software was the reason for a computer glitch.

https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/08/election-misinformation-michigan-vote-antrim-county/6209693002/

A computer glitch because the software was not updated is hardly evidence of fraud.  I never claimed that it never happened.  Software glitches happened in numerous places.  That's due to laziness, not fraud.

Seems to me he's making his image even worse by paying no attention at all to the very serious virus situation (near 250,000 dead, over 100,000 new infections every day).

When he should be in meetings and discussions/listening to the experts about the virus, and spending time on the transition, he's travelling around playing golf with his buddies, and ordering his followers to manufacture false claims and to disrespect the courts.

What a fool.

The point for the GOP is just to discredit the election with whatever means possible. Sad some fall forthisBS.

This about sums it up. They only consume news from dodgy sources. Figures.
