Bangkok Orphanages

I'm looking for some information on Orphanages in Bangkok, or any other worth while charities.

I don't consider myself a particularly saintly individual or man of redeemable value. However I have fancied the idea of teaching English or another subject at an orphanage. The only orphanage I know of is in Pattaya. Hmm, refer to first sentence.

Have you tried googling it. Another source could be the Australian and New Zealand womens group guide to Bangkok. Phenomenal source of information in there.

The Mercy Centre in Khlong Toey could be interested in you or Pak Ret orphanage - oddly enough located in Pakret!

Cant help you there I only know that there is one somewhere in Pattaya are you doing any of your art in Bangkok or are there any shows planned for the coming year there as we live on koh Phangan and it would be a good excuse to get off the island for a few days and head for the big city !!!!

I have worked with this group at their facilities in NE Thailand. They do excellent work and have a skilled and dedicated staff consisting of both their own employees and Government employees permanently assigned. They have documented, remarkable achievements. Their work has been recognized by many international organizations including the UN's APEC.

Because of their Royal Patronage, there is sometimes a little too much politics, but these are some of the neediest of the neediest.
