Tourists can have confidence in us, say Pattaya police

Pattaya's police said that tourists can have confidence in their ability to maintain law and order and provide safety.

Siam Rath published an upbeat report that the tourist season was now coming to the world class resort that is Pattaya.

There will be many events including a firework festival this coming weekend (29th and 30th November) as well as a music festival and the New Year countdown.

Pol Lt-Col Nithat Waenpradap, a deputy chief at the Pattaya station, said tourists could be confident they would be safe.

There were no incidents at the recent Loy Krathong festival that included the Night Bikini Run and the constabulary were using that policing model for the fireworks evening.

The lack of general street and alcohol/drug induced crime associated with the lack of tourists is one of the more noticeable aspects of living in Pattaya during this downturn. Nothing to do with the performance of the police of course.

Do you think I could ask him to repay me for the bribe I had to pay one of his officers to release a friend from arrest in a drug sting case? I have the name and bank account number of the officer. Should I send it to him?

So you are guilty of bribery and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Words are easy, behave like real police and you'll get the respect due to real police.

Words are easy, true. Behave like a tourist who respects police and you'll get the respect due a real tourist. Otherwise, you may need a lil' attitude adjustment.

Perhaps somebody should tell them that it is not on the 29th and on the 30th...

only if you fancy Xmas back home.

This is why they ask you to pee in a bottle, for your safety, not to get 10000...

They are very corrupt, you only have to look at a vid. on you tube concerning a New Zealand bloke 'Tim Sharkey' who feeds hundreds of stray dogs at Pattaya, a few years ago a few Thai policemen organised a 'break-in' at his apartment in which gold necklaces and money was stolen,Tim, not a shy man, also very muscular and large called them out, right outside there police station and inside it, well, they just didn't know what to do with 'Big Tim' who proceeded to call them what they were 'Thieves' I think it worked and Tim got his jewellery back, this was out and out a conspiracy by the Thai police that failed because of his actions to call them what they were and they backed down as the cowards that they were.

Just one Question Deputy, I'd like to know where you earned those Para wings.

He couldn't even keep his face straight while telling a lie of such huge proportions.

Are they still operating the checkpoint outside the station on Beach Rd that only stops farang motorcyclists to exploit them?

How old is this Pol Lt-Col Nithat Waenpradap?

Strange that he is not a General yet.

you are wrong ! he got nothing back and since he is having a very low profile, not showing his dirty life anymore, because someone important explained him that it was now time to shut up, and he obeyed as a pennysless that he is...
