President-elect Joe Biden twists ankle after slipping while playing with dog

NEWARK, Delaware (Reuters) - President-elect Joe Biden twisted his ankle after slipping while playing with his dog, his office said on Sunday.

 

In a brief statement, Biden's office said the incident happened on Saturday and that the 78-year-old Democrat would be examined by an orthopedist on Sunday "out of an abundance of caution."

 

Biden later visited an orthopedic specialist in Newark, Delaware. Reporters traveling with him were held on a bus and could not see the president-elect enter the building.

 

Biden will be the oldest person to assume the American presidency when he is sworn in next year and his health is likely to be watched closely by allies and opponents alike.

From what I read and the video watched this morning via MSN there is something of Democrat Party storm* coming (*my words) where I think his twisted ankle will be the least of his problems. As for the ankle, keep it well supported and try to walk as normal as the injury will allow. With a bit of massage and gentle rotation, and one good foot. you'll soon be fine.

I can't imagine Trump playing with a dog. How do you do that from a golf cart?

Did you get use to the 4 years (and continuing) insults towards Trump?

 

Edit: all politicians should be forced to retire after 70.  Time for others to do the job.

Ummm....it was in reply to a comment about Pelosi.  Yes, strange obsessions from Team Trump.

FDR was severely disabled from polio. I'm sure President Elect Biden can weather a minor ankle injury. Also its comforting that we will have a president that enjoys playing with his rescued dogs  A real normal human with normal human psychology is a great change from a toxic narcissist, serial liar and bully.

I can sympathise with him. I am 76 and have 2 cats who quite often get tangled up in my feet and legs and get shouted at and kicked if I am quick enough.

That's not unbelievable. What's unbelievable was the immense feeling of joy and relief when it became clear that Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. will become the 46th president of the USA, replacing the complete and utter failure in the WH. The grownups return!

In his case he would tie it to the rear bumper and drag it through the sand traps he encountered, and I bet there were lots of those.

I've advocated for not discussing trump lately, but it's just been too much fun kicking him when he's down. It feels good too. 

 

Sad confession I know but there it is. I didn't dance in the streets when he lost so now I'm catching up on my schadenfreude .
