PHUKET: Phuket Vice Governor Phichet Panaphong has ordered officials to ramp up their efforts to ensure all migrant workers returning from Myanmar are checked for COVID-19 following a Thai woman returning from Myanmar testing positive for the virus in Chiang Mai, sparking fears of an outbreak there, and two Myanmar women testing positive for the virus in Chiang Rai.

Police, court officials to have discussions ahead of ruling on PM

BANGKOK (NNT) - Police and Constitutional Court officials will have a meeting this week, ahead of a court ruling affecting Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, on Wednesday (Dec 2). He is accused of illegally occupying an army house since his retirement from military service.

Medical tourism: Thailand's Covid response seen as key to reestablishing medical hub

Bangkok, Venice of the East gets a new “E”

The first electric-powered boat service comes to Bangkok’s Klong Phadung Krungkasem

 

Since November 27, the first seven EV (electric vehicle) boats have been carrying passengers over five kilometres of Klong Phadung Krungkasem. The route covers 11 piers between Hua Lamphong train station and Talad Tewalat. Other stops include Yotse, the Ministry of Energy, Ratchadamnoen Nok and Thewet.

HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnam confirmed on Monday its first locally transmitted case of the coronavirus in nearly three months, after the infection of a man related to a flight attendant who had tested positive after returning from Japan two weeks ago.
