Top Thai actress questions safety of Sukhumvit after alleged abductions

A well known Thai soap star and singer went online to claim there had been a series of abductions in the area of Sukhumvit in Bangkok. She mentioned Sois 31, 39 and 49.

 

Namcha or Cheranut Yusanonda who appears to live in the area said that a security guard spoke of four abductions.

 

Her claims are just that but they come as Thai media was reporting the abduction and ransom of a Chinese woman in Soi 39.

 

Earlier Sanook reported that a gang of several people had been arrested after the woman was dragged from Soi 39 on the afternoon of Monday, bundled into a car and held for a 15 million baht ransom.

 

A police press conference was due to be held yesterday morning.

 

Namcha said online that this abduction was particularly concerning due to its brazen nature in broad daylight.

 

"If (such a thing) can happen in Sukhumvit in broad daylight it can happen anywhere in Thailand" she claimed.

Pretty lawless city ! Police more interested in lese majeste.. Gov tells it's Brown shirts to be less concerned with what it sees as trivial crimes !

So she's scaring herself silly on the word of a security guard.
