Fonts - Newly Installed Fonts Not Showing In Font List

Featured Replies

I've just installed 2 fonts and can't find them in the font list.

I've reinstalled them and searched the font folder and they show up. I've rebooted also.

Any ideas? I'm trying to use them with Illustrator, but I also can't find them in word.

Are they TrueType fonts or OpenType fonts?

Did you get a font installation message box appear?

Regards

They're True Type,

I dragged and dropped the font files, I didn't get an instalation message, but when I repeated it I got a message saying the fonts were already installed.

Thanks

There's a process which manages the fonts, dragging and dropping is not recommended. However, in most cases a reboot solves this.

Suggest you remove, again, and then with the font file outside the font directory double click on it. It should 'install', if it is a valid font file.

Installation 'tags' the font and makes it available to software on the system, in principal immediately.

Regards
