Mega Bangna ‘free from Covid risk’

Mega Bangna complex announced on Wednesday that it is completely free of the risk of Covid-19 transmissions despite a recent patient visiting the shopping centre 10 days ago.

The complex announced on Facebook that Samut Prakan health officials explained that judging by the patient’s infection timeline, she was not at the transmission stage of the disease when she visited the mall.

The complex has, however, conducted a “big clean” in the premises to ensure the safety of visitors.

The authorities released a timeline of the patient’s movements on Tuesday after she tested positive for Covid-19. The timeline shows the 24-year-old Chachoengsao resident had travelled to her second home in Samut Prakan and visited Mega Bangna on December 13.

Samut Prakan province has been put under lockdown since Tuesday, though shopping malls remain open. Operators are required to screen every customer, who will also be encouraged to check in via the Thai Chana platform.

Mega Bangna ‘free from Covid risk’

Surely you can make a bolder statement than that!

Repeat after me: Mega Bangna will never ever have covid not in a million years.

Did they put these at the entrances?

Business must be well down - propaganda?????

additional information

You're much more at risk for sugar overdose or choking on "Khai Mook" tea pearls there than for Covid-19

Business must be well done - propaganda?????

Eh?? Not sure what that even means.

Of course any business wants to protect their business.  Wouldn't you if you had one?  If it was in the national press that a Covid infected person had visited your business but you were sure in your protocols and you potentially had millions of dollars at risk if people decided to shun your business, wouldn't you do a bit of PR to assure people your business was safe? It is completely normal.  And understandable.  Not even worthy of comment really, it is just a PR piece.

What is your problem with it?

I've been to Mega twice in the last week.  Temperature screenings to get in to the complex and then many shops doing their own screenings too.  Hand sanitiser at every entrance and at other points.  Absolutely every single person wearing a mask - you are not allowed in without one.  Good, sensible measures and they are within their rights to publicise that.  Really not sure why certain people only live to criticise....

I just like the name  Mega Bangna vs Covidzilla
