Do you classify yourself and your friends and family as a dirty? Why not bathe more and use a laundry more frequently. No, but he did earlier in the year when he blamed "dirty foreigners" for bringing COVID-19 to Thailand.

I would have thought the logical thing to do would be to lock down each and every province to prevent inter-province travel during the New year holiday period, say for 14 days. Then lock down any province where new cases are found.

Maybe it's a case of too little too late, and we are heading for more restrictions.

A man, who was among 92 people infected with COVID-19 related to an illegal gambling den in Thailand’s eastern province of Rayong, died today (Monday) of heart disease.

 

Deputy Public Health Minister Satit Pitutacha said in his Facebook post on Monday that the infected man, who used to work at the illegal gambling den, suffered fatigue this morning and was taken to the provincial hospital on a friend’s tricycle.

Great idea. Next would be traffic deaths: if they remove all those who died in car accidents but also had cancer, diabetes, AIDS and other problems from the statistics, the road safety record will look much better.

So where have those 10% symptomatic cases been if it was here all along? They would have shown up in a hospital if that bogus theory of widespread Covid in Thailand was true.

There where is Covid, there are people being hospitalized, hooked up to a ventilator, and passing away. None of that happened in Thailand for many months, so the claim of widespread Covid infections that just aren’t detected is bogus.

Between April and end of July  2020 an extra 13000 people died than in the same months of the years between 2009-2019. This mortality data is taken from the Thai Bureau of Registration Administration. Whilst this does not mean COVID-19 is responsible it is hard to find another reason to account for this increase.

Random testing for all patient admissions (not COVID) within the same  hospitals during the same period show 12.1% carry the same SARS-CoV-2 antibodies which indicates previous infection.

So no, not everybody has had it. Thailand is doing as well as can be expected. You need to make your own assumptions based on the facts but it is clear that Thailand has had higher instances of COVID than we are lead to believe.

 

Do your research and don't blindly trust figures supplied by people who may not want you to know the truth.

 

Once you have that, then draw your own conclusions

Sadly, a temp check misses asymptomatic carriers, some 20-40% of those infected.  So, they're shedding the virus and infecting others without even knowing it.  Mask up is the best approach.

Is Antin the dude who says foreigners don't wash and use plain old toilet roll and not a jet bum wash ?

There were spikes in figures above. 20th, 21st and 22nd. 

 

Before those dates the daily figures were up and down. After those dates, from an initial drop on the 23rd the growth in numbers appears linear.

 

I don't believe it is a linear trend. Rather more like applying "gambler's fallacy". Tomorrow the chances of it being higher or lower are still the same.

Of course there is linear growth. It begins on Dec 23 after the burst of foreign fish market workers. The linear growth is now the spreading throughout Thailand. This is daily cases and increasing daily cases equates to exponential growth of cases. This is why they estimate 1000s per day by mid January without strong measures.
