Lin Qi, 39, died on Christmas Day of a suspected poisoning

 

A suspect has been detained over the potential poisoning of the billionaire founder of a Chinese company that makes a Game Of Thrones video game, police in Shanghai have said.

 

Lin Qi, 39, who died on Christmas Day, was the founder and chief executive of Yoozoo, a Chinese entertainment company best known for developing the Game Of Thrones: Winter Is Coming strategy game.

 

According to a police statement, a 39-year-old co-worker identified by the surname Xu has been detained.

 

The statement added that Mr Lin had been hospitalised on 17 December and diagnosed with possible poisoning, but gave no other details.
