Racial discrimination is based upon bigotry...

When did burger king become an issue involving discrimination?

Showing support for a movement exposing discrimination is not the same as advertising fast food.

I personally have no racial bigotry, ask my black friends of 40 years.

You didn't see the jest, that's OK, so I assume you want sporting events taken over by nothing to do with the sport. Hmmmm.

There are a zillion things out there that folk can complain about, but folk don't mix it with sport, but you want too.

Thank gawd the Brexit remainers didn't come up with the idea eh....????

No comment on your opening sentence...

You can assume but you are wrong.

Lewis Hamilton can comment on whichever issue he wishes and that is his right.

The fact you don't like his stance is irrelevant.

why are you dragging brexit into this?

So it's OK for all sports folk to stand on a box before a sporting event to spout their problem...????

Brexit, you missed the jest again.....????

Ah, the old "I'm not a racist, I've got a black friend" pony.

You remind me of West Ham fans who, whilst throwing bananas and making monkey noises at black players on opposing teams, said of Clyde Best "He may be a n*****; but he's our n*****!"

I don't recall many of those complaining that Hamilton should not receive this honour because he's a tax exile saying the same about white tax exiles who have been given the same honour!

The same have been said about numerous "White" tax avoiders over the years......Whats your point?

Has it? Maybe you can underline your statement with some links?

There have been tens if not hundreds of "white" celebrates who have been dragged through mud and flamed in the media for avoiding Tax over the past few years. Some people are all too happy to claim racism just because the person being spoke about is black, when race should never have been a factor; so who does that make the racists?

Complaining of black peoples injustice does not have to mean he suffered it himself, but he is aware of it happening, which it does.

Yeah sports people have always limited themselves to only speaking to whats relevant to their sport. Not.

Cigarettes and beer companies have nothing to do with how a sportsman performs, but they have promoted them.

again, why should he have less rights to an opinion to less talented people?

if their sponsors ok it then its none of your business.

Hardly any examples, and not one where honours were rejected. You'll have to do better.

Honors haven't been rejected for Lewis so what the hell are you talking about, people have just been saying he shouldn't get it for avoiding TAX, exactly the same as has happened to other sports personalities and celebs over the years. You want more proof you can spend your time googling it, rather then wasting mine.

I'm sorry but what does your comment have to do with the post that you quoted? (copied below)

You were the one making claims, can't substantiate them, so now ask me to proof your claims.

No.

I've provided links that show others being treated exactly the same as Lewis over Tax evasion, so yes I can and have substantiated what I claimed.

No, those links only shows the revenue department puts a green, yellow or red light as advisory on candidates. Probably this was also put on lewis, but nothing like the public firestorm we were talking about. Looking forward to your applicable links.

The post I reacted to questioned whether Hamilton said anything about F1 being racist. Hamilton said, see the article

"“I see those of you who are staying silent, some of you the biggest stars yet you stay silent in the midst of injustice,” Hamilton wrote.

“Not a sign from anybody in my industry which of course is a white-dominated sport. I’m one of the only people of colour there yet I stand alone.

“I would have thought by now you would see why this happens and say something about it but you can’t stand alongside us.

“Just know I know who you are and I see you.”"

Very clear message he considers F1 racist.

And about F1 and motorsport in general being racist, read the article again, very clear text but I can't quote more due to this forum's fair use policy.

F1 bosses / sponsors spend millions, and more than anything else they want the best drivers in their cars so that their cars win races. If there were other brilliant black drivers available who would win world titles for the F1 bosses, they'd hire them in a nanosecond. Does Hamilton think the bosses would turn down the chance to make more money just because a driver is black?

I wonder if there are any examples of talented young black drivers who have worked their socks off only to be overlooked in favour of a less talented white driver. If there were examples of this I might be less irritated by Hamilton's preaching.

Hee hee the ol ‘im not racist some of my friends are black’ line (providing those black peoples are well out of earshot as you bore the utter <deleted> out of everyone in the WMC)

Happy New Year chap.....????

So you are another that can't bear to read the truth from a member, though I am not surprised in your case either.

Answer me a question, my wife is Asian, does a racist marry an Asian, or are you going to tell me I am a liar......?

Of course they do, happens often, they like submissives no matter what race.

You know all too well that tens if not hundreds of White celebrities have been treated the same as LH over the past decade for TAX avoidance, you're just being as difficult as possible which says a lot about the person you are. examples are a plenty, here's some from a minute of searches:
