Tourist Visa Or Re-entry Visa ?

Featured Replies

To whom it may concern,

Now I am in BKK with a tourist Visa till May 19th. However, I'd like to go to Singapore in May12th and May13th and come back to BKK again untill my scheduled departure which is May 19th.

My residency is Taiwan and I am 28 yrs old. So i wonder if I need to apply a re-entry visa or just apply a another tourist visa upon my 2nd arrival in BKK on May 13th?

Your kindly response is highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

As a Taiwan resident you are not allowed to get a visa exemption (30 day stamp) on arrival, so you will need to get a single re-entry permit to protect your current permit stamp (to may 19th).

Get it at the airport on the way out or Bangkok immigration, IIRC 1000Baht plus photo.

EDIT Brain here didn't notice that you can get a Visa on Arrival, I'd still go with the re-entry to be certain, see Lop's post below.

The sure thing is the re-entry permit and as they both cost the same I would go with that. I don't believe you would have a problem with two back to back VOA's but better to not even chance it.
