The money paid for operating illegal gambling dens goes to the local coppers, the poo Yai Baan, Gamnan and Naiyok Orborjor.

Prayut doesn’t need it, he has much bigger and better schemes going on than little gambling dens.

Just a question.

How do I get my name on that list?

Candy bar, Supermarket?? You can't compare corruption to petty theft.
Or if you want compare it to someone walking into a Jewelry shop and stealing everything without resistance.
Wouldn't the person in charge of security be held responsible??

You totally missed the point. It was the possibility to have that kind of control, I was talking about. In your case that should be comapred to a jewellry shop geting robbed at gunpoint. In that case the security will not be blamed, right?

What more is there to say?

However, trust your tracks are well covered as attitude adjustment and correction come to mind ????

Yeah. Living in fear, much less fear of this heinous army, has never been my path in life.

And the only way to do that is to strip search everyone at end of shift. Do you think that will work?

You need enough cameras. If I am the owner of a shop and I have a manager that doesn't care he will be fired. Customers and some employees steal - this is nothing new. It might cost you a lot and I would not like to pay this. So best is to give everyone the feeling that he is recorded all the time. Bigger supermarkets even have in addition special employees that should prevent this. For instance here at Tops in the Pattaya Central Mall there are several standing around. I never forget when one of them stopped a Thai at the exit. He had tuna cans in his trousers pockets.

Why do such a big thing of my comment? I just posted that it is impossible to have total control, even with extra personal and spies. That´s just final. No need for further dicussion.

In this forum we always have discussions. That is the basis of this forum. If you don't like this perhaps a good idea to write in your signature  - I used your words:

Of course you are being implicated in this. You have never given us any reason to believe you are honest, and that you are doing anything to benefit the average person. Never.

And what about your promise to fight corruption? I doubt if you remember back this far, but when you and your incompetents launched a coup, it was ostensibly to restore law and order, which you accomplished with draconian measures, and to get rid of the rot, and corruption in immigration, the police, customs, the government, and at the highest levels, which you never even made the slightest attempt to do. You substituted 10 foot alligators, with 14 foot crocodiles. And you have spent your entire six years protecting the elite, those in office, the army, the police, those who are connected, and the super wealthy. For God's sake, you could not even bring the Dark Tao killer to justice, nor the Red Bull creep. Again, busy protecting the wealthy with all of your power.

The real problem is, you will not go after any of these guys. Not the top bankers, not the high ranking guys, not the provincial authorities, and certainly not the army, or the police. They are all corrupt beyond imagination. And the level of corruption simply escalates, the further up the food chain you go. As far as most of us are concerned, everything is the same. The police and army are not expected to be honest, and they are not expected to engage in law enforcement, traffic or public safety, on any level. It is an irrevocably broken and dysfunctional system. Any hyperbole to the contrary, is just a smoke screen, intended to deceive the most naive amongst us.

Now, in this time of desperation, with your nation needing you more than ever before, where on earth are you? What have your proposed? Where are the solutions? How are you going to rescue the economy, and the millions who are out of work? Where is the meritocracy? Why are you always picking from the bottom of the barrel, when it comes to appointments? Why do you insist on people with no experience? Sheer cronyism? The nation does not need or want that nonsense. Grow up. Be a man. Behave like a man.

There are at least a dozen good reasons why you should be removed from office.

Great post and spot on!

I hope there are new people to Thailand that read this, if only to understand the putrid, vile corruption that this country thrives on....pretty much all of SEA included.

UPDATE:   To put an end to these (probably) baseless accusations the PM  has just announced

that he is offering  4 to 1 odds  that there will be any truth to them !

just use the easy to remember app:   ubetcha

Ok so lets stick to your candy bar example.and so compare the Government to a Security Guard in the Candy Shop

If the security guards in the candy shop allow the children to steel candy should he not be held accountable and dismissed?

Yes, they should, but you have to factor in the complete scenario. The security guard has a unit boss. The unit boss report to and is responsible against the local office. The local office is responsible to the head office koordinator, that in return is responsible against the board of directors who will make decisions to please the major shareholder/CEO.

Do you really think the CEO is going to be dismissed because one of the company employees didn´t do the work they were supposed to do?

Silly discussion, right. It´s the same with the Thai PM. Neither you nor me have any facts or proof that he is aware of the thefts or has anything to do with them. The only thing we can do is speculative assumptions based on our own belief. Try to make that hold up in any scenario.

Sounds reasonable , can we see regular accounts of income and dispersal made available for the sake of transparency ?i imagine the money goes towards road safety or hospital or schools.or is this their own personal retirement fund ?
