Kate Winslet is proud of her “wrinkles and crunkles”, declaring: “When you’re a woman, at a certain point you have to choose between your arse and your face.”

 

The actress resented being labelled “curvy Kate” in her 20s, saying: “People would talk about me like I was different, because I was slightly bigger than average. I was a size six.”

 

In the 90s, Hollywood was “completely riddled with very slender women in a way that was not entirely balanced”, Kate says, but feels it now celebrates real women more.

 

She “values and appreciates” being able to look natural as a palaeontologist in new film Ammonite, saying: “I feel very proud of my 45-year-old self.

why? i think it's just  a way to self-soothe. i know for sure my mom wasn't proud when she got 45 yo
