What part of the trial where they OMIT the President words hours after, have you missed?

The video you posted is 8 hours long.  I am, and I would guess a few others are, confused. ????

For you I will tell you it IS in the presentation today. The other poster is probably not able or cares that it was included

This is what an insurrection looks like.
This is what a coup looks like.
This is what domestic terrorism looks like.

Don’t let Trump and his band of domestic terrorist cohorts say otherwise. Our democracy was nearly destroyed and replaced with a dictatorship a month ago. In the words of a famous philosopher: A democracy...if you can keep it.

Here is why it won't lead to conviction: Forty five Senators have already declared it unconstitutional which means they will not vote to convict, thus preventing the Democrats from getting the 2/3 majority they need. This impeachment trial is like the last one: a waste of time.

A waste of time? Our democracy was nearly obliterated by domestic terrorists. Never before in American history has a former president wielded his supporters into domestic terrorists to lay siege to beacon of humanity and democracy.

WE. WERE. ATTACKED. Plain and simple. We now have Osama Bin Laden-esque president that needs to be charged and arrested for plotting to overthrow the US government.

Heavy sigh . . .

Osama Bin Laden did not attack the twin towers yet he was responsible. Was it vindictive to hold him accountable?

It certainly divides the country into those who support Q and those who are capable of critical thinking. I SO hope the former president creates his own party and takes that base with him.

It's not for nothing (which has been pointed out again and again and again and . . .).  It will put those (R) Senators on record ignoring their oath, selling their souls, and voting against the wishes of the majority of Americans.

Poor politics would have been to ignore this. Yes, we all know the sycophants in the (R) Senate will acquit, but their votes will be history, and a number of them are up for re-election in 2022.

Jan 6 was worse than 9/11 because it was Trump who directed his supporters to engage in a coup, an insurrection and domestic terrorism. There’s a reason why the FBI and the CIA are going hardcore over the terrorists in our midst. I don’t doubt there are many terrorists on this very platform. Thankfully the mods are doing a good job in censoring their posts.

Never before have our enemies be it the Japanese or Al Quada struck at the very heart of America, our democracy. Now more than ever we need to unify and expel the terrorists that voted, aides, donated money, and publicly supported Trump. They’re the same as the terrorists who aided Bin Laden.

Would any of this have happened had Trump not been 'Trump'? OR, if Trump had behaved in a presidential manner (can you ever imagine in your wildest nightmare Obama acting in this fashion?).....no.....none of this would have happened...so it is a no brainer.....Trump is responsible and must be found guilty.

If you go back and watch President Trump's speech, he asks his supporters to peacefully and patriotically make their feelings known.  NO where does President Trump direct his supporters to engage in a coup, an insurrection, or domestic terrorism.

It is good the codependent Dems have found a way to keep Donald in the news. Keep hanging in there, maybe he will make a tweet.

You can call anything an insurrection; they happen all the time depending on your definition.

Name a coup that has any resemblance to recent events in America.

For domestic terrorism I would have a good look at Portland

I suggest you listen to it again without rose colored ear plugs.

the terrorists admitted they were rioting on the orders of trump and later stopped on the orders of trump.

Your democracy was already obliterated by the biased press and big tech.

Relax, all will be ok.  This will play itself out.  Enjoy Thailand, your wife, support the sick herd of buffalos, drink your beer, wash repeat.

You can't have a democracy when the information is filtered to fit a narrative.

Fox has very little to do with news.

True, but it 'informs' millions supporting the ludicrous narrative Trump and his supporters try to propagate.

It's so graphic it hurts to watch.

Thats what trump was doing. Trumps narrative is to keep himself in power.

All the mainstream sources are ludicrous.

Nope. Democracy has taken a few blows. The nature of a sycophant (R) Senate has been laid bare for all to see, as well as an enormous white supremacist movement, but it still stands.

Democracy is a living, breathing institution. It will never be perfect, but it's plugging along, and getting better all the time.

I remember watching videos of planes flying into buildings. And Japanese warplanes bombing US navy ships.

This is far worse...

Our democracy was assaulted by a mob of domestic terrorists. We used to screen for these people at airports. But they were here all along. And they attacked us. Anyone who supports these ideologies should be sent to gitmo ASAP.

If the (R) Senate fails to convict the former president, it doesn't mean he's innocent, it means they're all guilty.

You are right. He did this one time. All his other speeches were inciting his followers to March on the Capitol and fight the steal.

Your cherry picking one speech out of hundreds. Stop. It's getting boring. And posting fake information.

This type of video is commonly referred to a "doctored" video. The Democrats have spliced together various scenes with parts of a President Trump speech to make it look like President Trump was giving orders, or some such nonsense. The video also omits President Trump's words to "peacefully and patriotically" protest.  Most of the general public will see through this, though those who operate on emotion only will not.  And of course President Trump will be found not guilty.

There is little doubt 45 FULLY INTENDED for the terrorist mob to attack the Capitol. He specifically moved the planned march from its original date of 22 January to 6 Jan, not so coincidentally the day Congress was validating the election results. He cleared his own secure path from the WH to where he spoke to incite the mob so that Pennsylvania Ave would be open, not blocked by security, so that the mob could march to the Capitol. When he found out Pence was not going to void the results, he tweeted that Pence was weak and let him down. The mob was monitoring 45's Tweets and they immediately began chanting "Traitor Pence" and "Hang Mike Pence".

Those chants were being carried on live TV, and 45 was watching. He did nothing, not even calling out the National Guard.  It was hours before he finally said "go home peacefully', but added "We love you" to people he knew had smashed Capitol windows and doors and attacked police officers. "We love you...you're special people"......for attacking police?  (This was also on live TV).

Let's not forget, also, when 45's terrorist supporters tried to run a Biden campaign bus off the road in Texas. 45 praised their action and called them 'patriots'. Someone could have been killed, but to 45 they are 'patriots'.

The putsch would not have happened if 1) 45 had told the truth that he got slaughtered in a free and fair election, 2) 45 had not have changed the date to 6 Jan for the protest ("It  will be wild!", he Tweeted), and perhaps 3) 45 hadn't done his 'fight fight fight' speech he used "fight" 19 times in that speech, as well as continuing the lie that the election was 'stolen'.

He won't be convicted because Rs are cowards and traitors. They know full well he is guilty.

Even when acquitted, however, he isn't out of the woods. The 140 Capitol and DC police officers can file a civil suit against him for inciting the violence that got them injured. One died, two committed suicide, dozens had broken bones, one lost an eye and one lost 3 fingers.  They can sue him into bankruptcy, and in the DC courts REAL jurors will convict him.
