webfact Posted February 16, 2021 Share Posted February 16, 2021 New COVID-19 infections in Thailand down to double digits REUTERS FILE PHOTO for reference only Thailand has reported another significant fall in the number of new COVID-19 infections. On Tuesday, Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported just 72 new infections. The majority of the new cases (48) were found during proactive testing, while 21 cases were discovered from so-called “walk-ins”, from people reporting to hospital. Three cases were imported from people entering quarantine. The CCSA also reported that 680 people were discharged from hospital having made a full recovery. 1,141 people remain in hospital or held in a migrant worker quarantine centre. I was in Bang Saen over the weekend 1000's of people clustered at the beach never seen anything like it there. The beach road was down to one lane people triple parked.
