A Big Thank You Thai Visa And All The People Behind It.

Recommended Posts

Hi! Though I am a relatively new member and have only posted a few topics and that more to my needs, I have to say a Big Thank You to Thai Visa.Com and also the owners, moderators, the sponsors and even the advertisers and the contributors to this great web-site.

Many of us take for granted this site without realising the amount of money and time we have saved and also the wealth of information that we can receive from this site.

Especially those contributors who are specialised in their fields and have been contributing free advice and sincere help and information, this has made this site a great resource site for expats in Thailand.

YES, Thank you all you people out there and I really hope the rest of the users would take some time to also express their thanks.

Well I just wrote a long piece agreeing with PRGUY extolling the many virtues of Thaivisa and what happened?

A Bluddy advert hung the 'Fast Reply"! And when I tried to post again....I LOST THE LOT!

Not going to do it all again....Sorry.

Anyway Long Live Thai Visa.

Yes I would also like to add my thanks too.

I don't think we would have got our settlement visa for my wife (who has now been in the UK for one week of grey cold and wet weather!!!) without this site. It also saved me the 50,000 baht I had earmarked for an agency to help us get through the beaurocracy of registering our marriage and getting the visa. So another 50K's worth of thanks for that.

I have also gained more insight into the culture which I think has saved some misunderstandings and arguments.

We will be coming for our first long stay (6 months) in November and I feel I have alot more knowledge about visa's income, jobs and living in Bkk through this site.

So a big up to you guys!!!

I would not go so far as to thanks them. It is a business after all, but certainly I congratulate them as they have achieved a very nice site with interesting and useful information. Also it is probably the best site for farangs looking for quick assistance when needed...a sort of first aid kit. Wish the best good luck.

Never mind other pictures, but to steal the exact same avatar is just pathetic.

Who gives a toss.. Grow up.. Just get another one..maybe he had it before you ,or had no idea you had "his" avatar. Did that cross your mind..

next i will thank pizza hut for selling pizza and sf cinema for showing movies.

And how much is this costing you? Why are you a member then? This isn't about pizzas or cinemas - it's about a website that has helped alot of people learn about life in Thailand. Someone says thank you and you come out with that answer - who stole whose avatar was more compelling.

Yes, ThaiVisa is a business with advertisers - it has to pay for itself after all. But how about the mods who give their time for free? How about the members who help others for no reason other than kindness, itself? I have been helped by many members: BambinA, elfe, Nienke, bina, sbk, MiG16 Jet Gorgon, Guesthouse, ColPyat, Boo to mention just a few. I've also been befriended by many more: Little Black Duck, kayo, terry57, Crow Boy, Austhaied, english farang lady, leisurely, nonthaburial.....

These people gain nothing by being nice to me, they're just kind people whom I'm privileged to have "met" in cyber terms. IMO, TV is more than a business & yes, it & its members do deserve thanks :o

Edit - BTW, it was Phil Conner's avatar & I can see why he's po'ed. Your avatar is a simple way for others to identify you. There are plenty others to choose (I liked Austhaied's example from "The Shining")

Isn't it the members that have helped other members, If I make a bunch of good friends in a pub - I'm not going to go and say thanks to the landlord, its more likely I would continue to visit the pub to their benefit.

Its a business, the members are really cool and its well run so we come here, and they make their money. Do you also write to the Yellow Pages, or your local free newspaper, radio station etc...

EDIT - I thought the mods were paid, are they not?

Nice one thaivisa , even though I've only been on a couple of months its helped me out a lot and from members who offer help and don't ( some :o ) get paid.

I've known about the website for years and I'm now glad I'm a member and can see myself being a member for a very long time , which is not my style at all !!!!!!.
