Noticing more and more Westerners lately. I guess if you have the money, time and live in a cold climate with covid going on its a no brainer.

Yes and Covid did wonders for the Thai hospitality industry as well. What's a few million jobs and subsequent loss of income?  Damn dude..

No chance, I'm off to quarantine free holiday!  2 weeks lock up!

more likely bangkokians and chiangmaians escaping smog for extended holidays. Also taking advantage of still cool weather.

Most of them did not have longer holidays the last year.

Those some 5k arrivals per month is less than those losing job, income in thailand and going back to home countries
