May 15, 200719 yr Friend asked if I knew the answer for certain to this, and I didn't so thought I'd ask the accumulated wisdom. She's on a retirement visa 90 days today so has 7 days grace for reporting, however is due to fly out on Sunday, should she report and then fly and would flying out on Sunday without reporting be viewed as an overstay by immigration at the airport? Regards /edit typo // Edited May 15, 200719 yr by A_Traveller

May 15, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the prompt response, was my guess but glad to have 'formal' confirmation. Regards
May 15, 200719 yr Your comment on if she misses the 90 day report will she be on overstay has me wondering if you are confusing the 90 day address report when on a 1 year extension versus the 90 day permitted to stay stamp one receives when entering on a non-imm visa. Missing the 90 day address report is not an overstay and you do have 7 day grace period for that. I have never heard of exiting immigration saying anything about missing 90 day address reporting. Staying past the 90 day permitted to stay stamp is an overstay and she will be liable for 500 baht per day fine at airport immigration when she leaves. TH
May 15, 200719 yr If she has a 365 day retirement visa she will need a re-entry permit to keep the visa alive.
May 15, 200719 yr Author Sorry for any confusion, the visa is one year 'retirement' {so stamped} and the 90 day report referenced herein is the 'address report'. The visa was issued with a reentry permit. Thanks again for the speedy responses. Regards
