For the COVID extension in Chiang Mai:

- Where do you (or can you) schedule an appointment?

- Does CM immigration ask for an embassy letter (or proof that your embassy isn't issuing letters)?

If you go get the COVID ext. a few days before your current ext. ends, will you get the "under consideration" stamp?

OP, just bumping your thread as you didn't receive a reply. I deal with Bangkok imm so won't take a guess at what CM are needing. Someone familiar with CM hopefully can give you first hand info.

Good luck.

The immigration office at the airport in CM is accepting requests for COVID 19 extension and it usually goes under consideration for 14 days, no appointment is needed to do the application. Is possible to declare in the application form that the embassy is not issuing the letter, will be Ok for the application

Go to Chiang Mai immigration, I just did it a few days ago and it went smoothly. Bring your passport, your TM6 and your TM 30 and a recent Passport size photo of you and 1900 baht. If there’s a place there they will make copies of your documents and also where you can sit and fill out the four-page application. Doing all that took me about 20 minutes. Get off Facebook and get down to check my immigration. You can do it any time before your visit ends but I would at least leave a couple of days buffer and not wait to the last minute

Went to CM immigration. Everything seems to have gone well. Got the "under consideration" stamp and have to go back in about 2 weeks. CM immigration seems to give the "under consideration" for everyone.

Also, I called my consulate, and they said they weren't issuing letters. They told me I shouldn't need it.
