After a recent poll suggested most Thais were pleased with the how the government response to COVID-19, another poll has suggested most Thais are worried by mounting debt and a lack of money.

This one published by Daily News is from Suan Dusit who asked 1,184 their opinions from Tuesday to Friday last week under the umbrella of ""Families in the Covid-19 era".

Nearly half of respondents said they didn't have enough money to cover household expenses. A fifth cited health concerns and more than one in ten spoke of the fear of losing their job and other work worries.

Three quarters of all Thais were worried about mounting debts while nearly 70% spoke of family members made unemployed and depression caused by the pandemic.

Things that had gone up: Health concerns and stress.

Things that had decreased: Travel, eating out and income.

But at least there were some positives.

70% said they had learnt to be more careful in their lives, 66% said they had spent more time with the family and 63% said they had spent more time at home.

From one end of the spectrum to the other.  Supporting it on one end and unfortunately reaping the fall out from what they perceive as a proper response.  With that said, maybe the government needs to get a bigger stimulus package moving to help out these folks.

But the previous post said :

Yet the people in charge say debt is manageable... just goes to show it depends on who you ask.

Well the people in charge have no debts, so it is manageable as they used the ill gotten gains from others to buy and pay for their things instead of on credit like the Police Officers supposedly had to so.

But they totally approve of the way the government has handled the COVID crisis.

1% don't give a flying fig and is a serious flaw in the seizing of power business ????

Wasn't there an report from one of the main man from one of the Larger Thai banks that all household bad debt was GOOD debt and was at normal level,  just showed how much he knows.
