BANGKOK, March 15 (TNA) - Additional 800,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine will arrive on March 20, said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

After the vaccine shipment, the new lot will be verified and the inoculation will start right away.

The Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) was assigned to order another five million doses of vaccines to meet the need in April and May before the locally –produced AstraZeneca will be ready for use in June.

Let's hope they get over their fear of normal blood clotting levels by June then

The Chinese approved Sinovac for use back in Feb. Your statement is incorrect.

800,000 eh.  Do they have to keep them for 2 months before the best due date for vaccination and for 3 months after that best due date and never let the total number of vaccines fall below 400,000?

Great!

Everything is better than the highly suspicious Astra vaccine. Partial tests, painful side effects and now suspected to be lethal in some cases.

Trolling ?  yes, a little, but faced with some arrogance I will abuse it for a few more years.

Don''t agree with you on this, I see no real evidence that the astra z vaccine is not a great contribution to reopening society.

All I want is an effective vaccine and by effective I mean one that would prevent any infection causing acute medical conditions to administered and allow international border opening with life returning to normal.

The jabs will only be available to MPs and their immediate family plus a small circle of friends.

I'd prefer a J&J jab, but beggars can't be choosers. "The United States has expressed concerns that Russia and the People’s Republic of China are sharing or marketing vaccines with the international community without providing transparent, peer reviewed scientific evidence of their safety and efficacy." How much of that is spin/propaganda and how much authentic concern is anyone's guess. US embassy Q&A

they have already for over 2 weeks 165k in the fridges and giving to public at rate of only 4k per day.

where are they going to stock another 800k and another 5mln?

they are clearly not competent at swift distribution.

More clusters at markets, like those at samut sakhon, pathumtani and bang kae will be appearing, with each potentially causing the next wave and the government sitting duck on a stockpile of vials

"The approval is based on the two-month results from late-stage clinical trials overseas, from which the final analysis data has not yet been obtained, Sinovac said.

800,000 doses if administered at the resent rate of 1,650 ( approx per day ) should take them 485 Days, or until End June / early July 2022.

Maybe thats the crawl out date for the local AZ Vaccine and not June 2021.

The vaccine will be well past its BBF date by then. Thats if it even has a BBF Date.
